Digital marketing for St. Louis businesses

We sharpen the message, rebuild the website and run email, search and review automation for St. Louis businesses, remotely from Malvern, PA.

The Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis across the Mississippi River under a clear sky.

Email-first marketing for St. Louis

St. Louis autocomplete suggests "st louis email marketing agency", a sign many local firms want to grow through lists they already own.

Why it matters: a customer list you already own is often the quickest channel to put to work, once the message and website are clear.

Go deeper: What we take on

We define the offer, rewrite the website around it, then build the email flows, search pages and review requests that keep customers coming back. Social posting and ads come later, if they earn a place.

It all runs remotely, with drafts shared for comment and campaigns approved by you before anything sends.

  1. Hospitals, clinics and care

Patient reminders, review requests and newsletters that keep a practice chosen and recommended.

  2. Stores and retailers

Email offers and seasonal promotions tied to the products and hours on your site.

  3. Professional firms

Useful articles and a regular newsletter that bring referrals back around.

The St. Louis audience, in numbers

Census figures put the St. Louis metro at 2,809,527 residents and 69,470 establishments, 25th of 37 on our marketing pages.

By the numbers: professional firms are only 10.2% of businesses, the lowest share of all 37 places we cover for marketing.

Go deeper: What a low professional share changes

Ranking 37th of 37 on professional share suggests a larger slice of St. Louis businesses sell to consumers or patients. Marketing for them leans on reviews, reminders and offers more than on long white papers.

With 40.4 residents per establishment, each business draws on a fairly deep customer pool, which rewards keeping in touch with the customers you already have.

Patients and shoppers drive the mix

Health care holds 15% of St. Louis establishments and retail 11.7%, so most local marketing speaks to individual customers.

What we do: build email, review and reminder flows for consumer-facing sectors, and content programs for the firms that sell to businesses.

  • Health care's 10,427 establishments thrive on reviews and reminders.
  • Retail's 8,095 stores respond to email offers and profile posts.
  • Finance and insurance, at 7.1%, needs carefully reviewed newsletters.
Go deeper: The rest of the mix

Construction contributes 6,259 establishments, a 9% share. Contractors grow mostly through referrals, so we make reviews and project stories easy to share.

Information firms are a small 1.6%, and real estate 4.6%. For most St. Louis sectors, steady contact with existing customers outperforms one-off campaigns.

Fewer marketing agencies per St. Louis business

The St. Louis metro counts 342 marketing consulting firms and 99 advertising agencies, a combined 441 establishments.

Yes, but: even that small figure is a ceiling, since the codes include specialist, print and media firms alongside full-service agencies.

  • Density is 63.5 per 10,000, 34th of 37 marketing pages.
  • The median across those pages is 96.6.
  • Advertising agencies alone are 14.3 per 10,000 establishments.
Go deeper: Reading low density

A thinner agency field means many St. Louis businesses do their own marketing, often with a website that has not been touched in a while and an email list that rarely hears from them.

That is where we usually start: the assets you already own but are not using.

Rebuilt for search: an arcade manufacturer

Phantom Arcades, a Florida arcade cabinet manufacturer, asked us to rebuild its website so Google could find and read it.

The bottom line: Google clicks grew 92% year over year, and non-brand clicks, from people not searching the name, grew 231%.

Go deeper: Situation, work, result

We designed and rebuilt the site for search, including a 3D cabinet configurator, and mapped 80+ old addresses to new ones with redirects so nothing earned was lost.

In Search Console, mid-August to mid-October 2026 against the same dates in 2025, clicks rose from 1,112 to 2,130, non-brand clicks from 95 to 314, and impressions 63%. The period just before was flat.

The same order, a site built for search first, is how we would start for a St. Louis business.

  1. The rebuild

A new site built for search, with a 3D cabinet configurator.

  2. The redirects

80+ old addresses mapped to new ones, so earned traffic carried over.

  3. The numbers

Google clicks up 92%, non-brand clicks up 231%.

The St. Louis growth sequence

We add one channel at a time and move on only when the current one is producing measurable leads.

The bottom line: message and site, then SEO, blog and email, then automation, and ads last, once organic traffic converts.

  • A website that makes the offer obvious in seconds.
  • Email and search content that compound month after month.
  • Automated review requests, replies and profile posts.
Go deeper: Ads, eventually

Paid ads can work in St. Louis at click prices near $4.30, but only on pages that already convert. By then, tracking is in place and ad results can be judged on leads, not traffic.

Putting a St. Louis plan to work

The stage cards give the order; for St. Louis firms, email and reviews usually move earliest in the plan.

What you get: a written plan, revised website copy, live email and review flows, and a monthly leads report by channel.

Go deeper: Our first questions

How big is your customer list, when did it last hear from you, and how many reviews do you collect each month? Those answers often reveal the quickest wins.

Everything we build stays in your accounts, from the email platform to analytics.

  1. 01 Website and message first

The offer and the site that carries it, made clear before any campaign.

  2. 02 Search and content

SEO, blog posts and email that build traffic without ad spend.

  3. 03 Authority

Reviews, links and mentions that make the business easy to trust.

  4. 04 Automation

Social posts, Business Profile updates and review requests on a schedule.

  5. 05 Paid, once organic works

Ads added after the organic channels convert, measured the same way.

Often, if you have a customer list you rarely contact, because an email program is a quick win. Autocomplete for St. Louis surfaces several email marketing phrasings, and with 10,427 health care and 8,095 retail establishments, many local businesses rely on repeat customers.

It sets the message, makes the website carry it, and runs the channels that bring customers: search, email, reviews and, later, ads. Clicks on "digital marketing agency st louis" cost advertisers $6.13, which shows how much businesses value buyers who search for this help.

Ask each firm for a written plan, which channel it would start with, and who owns the accounts afterwards. St. Louis has just 441 establishments in the advertising and marketing consulting codes, 63.5 per 10,000 businesses, so a short list built on those answers comes together quickly.

Sometimes, but many small firms need a full plan more than ads. The metro has 99 advertising agencies, and ads only pay off when the website converts. We start with message, site and email, then add advertising once organic channels show which offers work.

It turns scattered efforts into one plan: a clear offer, a website that states it, and channels such as email, search and reviews that bring customers back. For a small St. Louis business among 69,470 establishments, that focus matters more than being on every platform.

An agency covers the full sequence, from website copy to email and search, while a freelancer usually covers one piece. In St. Louis, where professional firms make up only 10.2% of businesses, many owners lack in-house marketing help, so one coordinated plan saves both time and budget.

Choose one whose work you can see without a meeting: shared drafts, staging links and reports in your own accounts. We work remotely from Malvern, PA, an hour ahead of St. Louis on Eastern time, and serve a metro of 2,809,527 residents entirely online.
