Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania

One Algorithm LLC is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer I to design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, and network concerns. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to modernize infrastructure, integrate enterprise applications, and resolve mission-critical technical challenges across diverse technology environments.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Systems Engineer I will:

  • Architect and develop application solutions using Java, C#, Python, .NET, and Node.js.
  • Design microservices and API-driven architectures using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Analyze and optimize application performance using New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and related profiling tools.
  • Administer enterprise systems across Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu Linux, VMware vSphere, and Hyper-V environments.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Implement enterprise monitoring and logging solutions using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise networks, including latency, bandwidth, availability, and security concerns.
  • Configure and manage Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Implement and support networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL/TLS, and IPSec.
  • Integrate ERP, CRM, HRMS, and other enterprise applications using MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, and related middleware platforms.
  • Support data integration and exchange using Informatica, Talend, and SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
  • Design hybrid and cloud-native solutions using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Work with AWS services including EC2, RDS, and Lambda; Azure services including AKS and Azure Functions; and Google Cloud services including BigQuery and Google Kubernetes Engine.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Design high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, clustering, and load-balancing solutions.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices, including identity and access management using Okta, Microsoft Active Directory, and LDAP.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and technical analysis using Nessus, Qualys, Wireshark, and related security tools.
  • Support compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and analysts on system design, administration, integration, and implementation practices.

Candidates must have experience working with:

Programming and application development: Java, Python, C#, .NET, Node.js, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.

Systems and infrastructure: Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Networking and security: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL/TLS, IPSec, Okta, Active Directory, LDAP, Nessus, Qualys, and Wireshark.

Integration and data tools: MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, Informatica, Talend, and SSIS.

Cloud and DevOps: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.

Monitoring and logging: Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.

Education and Experience

The position requires:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience as a software professional in systems engineering, systems administration, systems integration, or a related occupation.

Work Location and Relocation

This position is based in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

No domestic or international travel is required. The position may involve up to a 40% chance of relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
